Privacy Policy

Effective

This Privacy Policy explains how CrawCode (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use tify, including our app, website, and related services (together, the “Services”). We are based in the United States, where your information is processed, and the Services are intended for users in the United States. You can reach us at tify@crawcode.com.

1. Information we collect

2. How we use information

We use information to:

Decisions about how to fulfill your Requests and when to notify you are automated and do not produce legal or similarly significant effects. Our team and service providers may review Requests, Generated Data, and logs to provide support, investigate problems or abuse, and improve the Services. We may create aggregated or de-identified information and use it for any purpose.

3. Advertising

We may show advertising in the Services, including ads selected based on your Requests, inferences about your interests, your approximate location, and your device and usage information. Advertising partners that help us select, deliver, and measure ads may receive identifiers (such as a device or advertising identifier), your IP address and approximate location, device and app information, information about the ads you see, and interest categories derived from your Requests, and may combine these with information they hold from elsewhere under their own privacy policies. We require them to protect your information consistently with this Policy. Where the law or your device’s platform requires consent for personalized advertising or cross-app tracking, we will ask first, for example through your device’s tracking permission prompt. You can opt out of personalized advertising through any controls we provide in the app, your device’s privacy settings, or by contacting us. We do not knowingly select ads based on sensitive personal information such as health, ethnicity, religion, or sexual orientation, even if a Request includes it.

4. How we share information

5. Retention

We keep information as long as needed for the purposes in this Policy, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law. Requests and Generated Data are kept until you delete them or until we remove them as routine housekeeping once they are no longer needed; when you delete them, we promptly delete them from our active systems and instruct our providers to do the same, and copies in logs and backups expire as described below. Identifiers and notification tokens are kept while your installation or account is active, until you ask us to delete them, or until we remove inactive ones. Messages to us are kept as long as needed to resolve them plus a reasonable record-keeping period. Technical logs are generally kept no more than a few months, and backups expire after a limited period. We may keep information longer to comply with law, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, or investigate abuse, and our providers may do the same under their own practices.

6. Your rights and choices

Deleting your data. You can delete your Requests and their Generated Data in the app. To delete the remaining information associated with your installation or account, such as your identifier and notification token, use any deletion control the app provides or email tify@crawcode.com. Deleting the app does not delete information on our servers, and reinstalling on the same device may restore your account and data.

Your rights. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what personal information we collect, use, disclose, sell, or share; to access, correct, delete, and receive a copy of it; to opt out of targeted advertising, the sale or sharing of personal information, and profiling with legal or similarly significant effects; to limit the use of sensitive personal information; to withdraw consent you have given; and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. To exercise them, email tify@crawcode.com. If we hold no contact details for you, include the account identifier available in the app so that we can find your data; without it, we may be unable to act. We may decline requests we cannot verify or that are excessive; if we decline, we will explain why, and where the law provides you may appeal by replying to our response and, if we deny the appeal, contact your state attorney general. You may use an authorized agent where the law allows; we may verify the agent’s authority and confirm with you directly.

Notifications. You can turn notifications on or off in your device settings; some features may be unavailable while they are off.

Do Not Track. Our website does not respond to “Do Not Track” signals. Where the law requires, we honor recognized opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control.

7. California disclosures

In the 12 months before the effective date, we collected these categories of personal information from the sources and for the purposes in Sections 1 and 2, and disclosed them to service providers for business purposes: identifiers; personal information under Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.80(e) and sensitive personal information, only where you include them in a Request or message (we do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you); commercial information, such as products or services described in your Requests; internet or other electronic network activity; and approximate geolocation. We have not sold or shared personal information in that period and do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16. If we introduce personalized advertising, some of it may be “sharing” or a “sale” under California law and we may begin to collect inferences drawn from your Requests; we will update this Policy and provide a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” choice first. Retention periods are in Section 5, and rights may be exercised as described in Section 6.

8. Children

The Services are for people aged 13 and older, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have collected a child’s information in violation of this Policy, we will delete it.

9. Security

We use safeguards designed to protect information, including encryption in transit and at rest, restricted access to production systems, and isolation of the systems that fulfill Requests, but no system is completely secure. We will notify you and the relevant authorities of a security incident as required by law.

10. Changes and contact

We may update this Policy. When we do, we will revise the effective date above and, for material changes, give more prominent notice, such as in the app, and obtain consent where the law requires. Questions, requests, or complaints: tify@crawcode.com.
